Job Summary
Patrol all areas of the Medical Center, including stairwells and restricted zones, to detect fires, thefts, and vandalism. Act as a liaison for patients and visitors, interpreting policies, preparing incident reports, and investigating violations of the law. Provide regular reports on issues to administration and assist in referring individuals to appropriate services. Direct traffic in parking garages, re-park vehicles, and report violations. Handle dispatch responsibilities, answer phones, monitor surveillance systems, and operate as a switchboard operator during the midnight shift. Log daily receipts, maintain department equipment, and escort employees between buildings. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall department objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass security guard test and/or approved training through Bergen County Police & Fire Academy
- Ability to drive standard shift cars
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position
- Must have valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma/GED

- knowledge of a second language
