Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by executing security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and notifying personnel. Conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct foot traffic per site policies. Prepare clear daily reports on activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns for site leadership and management. This fixed-shift commitment requires a six-month base schedule with optional claimable shifts through our Smart Tools platform to increase earnings. A valid New York State Security Guard License, one year of security experience, and a high school diploma are required.
Required Qualifications
- A valid New York State Security Guard License
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
