Job Summary
Part-time Event Security Guard in the San Fernando Valley. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access points, coordinating with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services, reporting incidents, enforcing client rules and safety protocols, conducting foot patrols, and maintaining a visible, professional presence. Extensive training provided by a Security Supervisor. Requires 18+ years old, a High School diploma or GED, and a California BSIS Guard Card; successful background check; ability to follow instructions, strong attention to detail, and flexibility for day/evening/weekend/holiday shifts. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8)
- Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the BSIS
- Undergo a criminal history background check through DOJ and FBI
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Reliable and punctual
- Maintain flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
- Basic smart phone knowledge
- Intermediate communication and customer service skills
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols

- Integrity and professionalism
