Job Summary
Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter. Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as directed by site procedures. Help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity through a professional presence and timely reporting. This role requires a six-month fixed-shift commitment with the option to pick up additional shifts via the Smart Tools platform. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, a high school diploma, and be at least 18 years of age.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Alarm panel experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
