Job Summary
Security Guard for Covenant Living campus responsible for safeguarding residents, staff, and property. Duties include patrolling buildings and grounds, monitoring security equipment, controlling access, responding to emergencies, summoning and coordinating with emergency responders, issuing incident reports, maintaining safety and compliance, and providing non-emergency resident assistance as needed. Ideal candidate holds a high school credential, 2+ years security experience, a valid driver’s license with a good record (CDL preferred), and First Aid certification; must be able to read/write English, communicate effectively, interact professionally with seniors, and comply with California security licensing when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Two years experience in security or related work
- Current state driver’s license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record
- First aid certification
- Ability to read and write in English and communicate with residents and staff
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Familiarity with campus safety procedures and emergency response
- California Security License (for California candidates) or ability to obtain
- Experience with incident reporting and using safety software (e.g., WorxHub)
