Job Summary
Patrol the building and grounds to ensure areas not in use are locked and address irregularities such as suspicious people, fire hazards, leaking pipes, and unlocked security doors. Enforce compliance with all rules and regulations among visitors and members while directing members to proper program areas. Maintain radio contact with the security team, club manager, or lead staff and answer questions regarding Boys & Girls Clubs policies. Work Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM. CPR and First Responder certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working in the security field
- Individual must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR and First Responder certification, within in 6 months of hire
- Demonstrate good customer service skills
- ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Anticipate and mitigate potential risk/safety issues
- Must have conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and problem solving and persuasion skills
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Monday through Friday 3PM - 6PM
Desired Qualifications
- Security certification is preferred
