Job Summary
Armed Security Guard position in the Somerville/Medford, MA area. Part-time and full-time opportunities available with daytime shifts (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and flexibility for second and third shifts, including weekends and holidays. Pay range is $19.50-$22.00 per hour based on training and experience. Responsibilities include maintaining access control to a secure facility, keeping an accurate log, report writing, conflict management/resolution, and emergency/incident response. The role requires security and customer service experience, MA-LTC, and possession of an issued pistol (9mm or .40 cal), along with the ability to pass a CORI/SORI check and participate in the screening process. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 19+ years of age
- Valid Drivers' License and Personally Owned Vehicle
- MA-LTC (employment or no restrictions)
- Must own personal pistol in 9mm or 40cal
- Verifiable training in how to shoot (military or law enforcement)
- 1 year of security experience
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Flexible work availability
- Command presence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personal cell phone (to call on and off duty with our dispatch center)
- Personal e-mail (to accept and confirm shift assignments)
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process
- Ability to pass a CORI/SORI check
