Job Summary
Protect life and property through detection and prevention of crime, while apprehending criminals and enforcing laws and ordinances. Document all witnessed activities and incidents accurately. Make good judgment decisions and present well to the public. Control hostile subjects, including restraining in handcuffs if required, and safely retain weapons against potential assailants. Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday from 1530 to 0000 or Sunday through Monday from 1530 to 0000, with a 30-minute unpaid meal at Safeway. Wage scale is $18.00 to $19.65 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver's license, and pass a drug test including THC and a DOJ/FBI fingerprint live scan. Armed Guard Private Security provides uniforms, a company cell phone, two-way radio, tax-free cell phone reimbursement, and equipment purchasing programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Driver's License or state issued I.D.
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a drug test, including THC
- Must pass a DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Live Scan
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for majority of assigned shifts
- Ability to physically control hostile subjects, including restraining in handcuffs, if/when required
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs. in a safe manner on occasion
- Ability to safely retain any weapons on person against potential assailants who may try to take them from the guard
- Associates Degree
- Must be able to make good judgement decisions
- Must be able to present well to the public
- Must be available for occasional travel
