Job Summary
Protect life and property on hospital premises and police hospital grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism; ensure boilers are attended regularly and logged in promptly. Requires capable handling of a firearm and obtaining a commissioned Security Officer license, with on-the-job training to acquire a high pressure boiler license within six months. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with patients, staff, visitors, and administration. This is a safety-sensitive role with physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds, and other movements; duties include monitoring, patrolling, and responding to security incidents within the hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be capable of handling a firearm and obtaining a commissioned Security Officer license
- Will be required to obtain a high pressure boiler license after 6 months of on the job training
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, staff, visitors, and administration
- Safety Sensitive position designation
