Job Summary
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility, monitor the environment for suspicious activity, and enforce building policies while greeting visitors and staff professionally. Answer all phones, permit authorized entry, perform designated patrols on foot or in vehicle, and observe departing personnel to prevent theft. Monitor alarms and systems, follow emergency procedures, and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed. Requires a state-mandated security license, high school diploma, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. Schedule runs Tuesday through Friday from 4pm to 10:30pm and Saturday from 12pm to 6pm. Competitive hourly pay includes health, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
- Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
- Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Neat and professional appearance
- Ability to write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting
- Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience
