Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day GSOC operations by managing shift activities, monitoring security systems, and handling incident recognition and escalation. Coordinate team coverage, ensure compliance with laws and client regulations, and conduct regular audits to identify improvement areas. Act as the primary point of contact for incident response, document and analyze all security incidents, and troubleshoot security application issues with the system team. Update the Operator schedule, verify training requirements for new hires, and assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures for consistent operations. Complete metrics for all operators and present key insights to internal stakeholders. Requires two years of GSOC experience and flexibility for overnight and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Security/GSOC experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Minimum of two (2) years of technical writing experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable security experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable Global Security Operation Center experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience using CCURE and other surveillance tools (e.g., Genetic)
- Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
- Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Emergency Management, Communications, Information Technology, Political Sciences, Criminal Justice, or related field of study
- Technical writing skills
- Teamwork, coaching, mentoring skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word)
- Solid computer knowledge and skills, experience working with complex platforms
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Ability to communicate at an executive level, both written and orally, through superior communication skills
- Ability to make decisions, multi-task, and operate within high demand situations, often under time constraints
- Possess working knowledge of current global events and global geography/cultures
- Ability to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances
- Ability to follow written policy and procedures
- Must be Flexible
- Shifts Available Including Overnights and Weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Military and/or law enforcement experience
- College degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, or related field of study
