Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments regarding fires or unauthorized persons, and warn violators of rule infractions like loitering or smoking. Permit authorized entry while monitoring entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to prevent theft. Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and maintaining required logs. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 plus years of Security experience
- prior Law Enforcement or Military experience
- Must be 21+ years of age
- must have a valid driver's license
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
