Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle while monitoring entrances and exits to permit authorized access. Watch for irregular conditions, warn violators of rule infractions, and sound alarms or notify police/fire for emergencies. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain logs, and mediate conflicts with tact. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner while ensuring property protection and adhering to site Post Orders. Work varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends with last-minute scheduling flexibility. Valid driver's license, high school diploma, and background check required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
