Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle while monitoring entrances and exits. Watch for irregular conditions, warn violators of rule infractions, and permit authorized persons to enter property. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments regarding unauthorized persons or fires, and investigate incidents to prepare reports and maintain logs. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Teamwork
- Attention to detail
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
