Job Summary
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, monitor closed-circuit television, and manage access control to protect building assets, employees, and visitors from criminal activity and accidents. Perform guard posts in lobbies or reception areas, check for suspicious persons and packages, and document daily activities and incident reports. Operate x-ray or metal detection equipment where deployed and provide first aid during emergency situations. Work day shifts Monday through Friday between 7am and 7:30pm, with occasional Saturday coverage, across Macomb, Wayne, and Oakland counties. Earn $21.40 per hour with dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Your Own Transportation
- Must be available to travel, locally, to different site locations in metro Detroit on a daily basis to fill-in, as-needed at different client sites as well as work within our Regional Troy, MI Office occasionally on special projects
- Must be available Mon-Fri between 7am-7:30pm, and occasional Saturday
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
- Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
- Must not have been convicted of any felonies
- Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
- Must be able to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
