Job Summary
Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities. Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures. Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift. Work part-time hours with a fixed six-month commitment on anchor shifts, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
