Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watch for irregular or unusual conditions, and sound alarms or call police/fire for unauthorized persons or fire hazards. Warn violators of rule infractions, permit authorized entry, monitor entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to prevent theft. Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities while maintaining required written logs. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Requires active DoD clearance, valid CA guard card, and high school diploma or equivalent. Schedule offers open availability with weekly and daily pay options.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD clearance
- Valid CA guard card
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively
