Job Summary
Security Expert position focusing on Enterprise Security Management – Crisis and Resilience based at Umicore’s Brussels headquarters. The role emphasizes leading the design and implementation of a global crisis management framework, gathering and translating geopolitical and security intelligence into actionable guidance for senior leadership, coordinating cross-site resilience programs, and delivering crisis/continuity training. The candidate will act as a key security contact for designated sites, drive risk assessment and governance, monitor regulatory developments, and promote a security-focused culture across regions. The role requires strong analytical abilities, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects across multiple sites, with hybrid work implied by the posting. Responsibilities include developing harmonised crisis practices, reporting on crisis preparedness, conducting maturity assessments and tabletop exercises, and mentoring colleagues to raise security standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ professional experience in crisis management, resilience, security, or a closely related field
- Master’s degree in a risk, security, or resilience-related discipline (with ISO 31000 certification preferred)
- Proven capability in intelligence gathering, analysis, and synthesis of complex information from multiple sources
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of French and/or Dutch, German or other languages is a plus
