Security Expert/ Regional Security Manager

Job Summary
Lead regional and plant security operations by protecting assets, ensuring employee safety, and implementing risk mitigation protocols across North America sites. Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with national regulations and internal standards while serving as the primary contact for business units on security matters. Manage the security setup at the Bayport Plant and oversee operational security for North America, translating global policies and Corporate Security Target Operating Model principles into local implementations. Mentor colleagues, coordinate cross-functional enhancements, and lead projects to increase security awareness and ensure a secure supply chain through employee training and vendor audits.
Required Qualifications
- Batchelor or Master's degree
- 10-year work experience in a security related domain
- Project management experience of at least 3 years in a technical/information security domain
- Organizational and Technical security management
- Demonstrated experience in implementing risk management frameworks aligned with ISO 31000 principles
- Working knowledge of information security management systems (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Familiarity with transport and logistics security standards such as TAPA
- Travel in US and Canada quarterly; abroad occasionally
- High level of integrity and discretion

- This position will be located at our plant in Pasadena, TX, and have a split responsibility of 60% North America Region Security, and 40% Bayport Plant Security
- The position can be a hybrid work arrangement, with minimum 3 days in the office, 2 days work remote. It is not a fully remote position
- Travel in US and Canada quarterly; abroad occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- preferably with a technical background and an additional training security related ( in Law enforcement, Defense or Intelligence services)
- Experience in a high tech industrial environment is a plus
- an ASIS certification is a plus
- formal training or certification (e.g. ISO 31000 Risk Manager) is an advantage
