Job Summary
The Security Estimator - Nuclear position at Allied Universal® involves designing technical security solutions, estimating costs, and supporting sales processes in the nuclear division. Requires 3 years of experience in electronic security solutions and 2 years in a pre-sales engineering role. High school diploma required; relevant certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with access control and video systems
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with integrated electronic security solutions
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a pre-sales support/engineering position
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure including switches, routers, IP configuration
- General understanding of technologies enabling network redundancy and high availability
- Understanding of IP-based video management system design, including bandwidth and protocol considerations
- Knowledge of access control systems, including alarm panel communication structures (Apollo and Mercury) and line supervision
- Familiar with Iris biometric deployment requirements and general access control concepts
- Knowledge of advanced video analytics
- General understanding of operating system virtualization
- Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals within physical security environments
- Knowledge of Software as a Service (SAAS) and cloud-based security solutions
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment; capable of managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills internally and with stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word)
- Ability to travel (20%-30%) on an as-needed basis
- Skilled in utilizing PDF editing software and creation tools such as Bluebeam for device plotting and team collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related major
- Project Management (PMP) certification
- Utilities and Nuclear Power Generation Knowledge
- DOD and DOE Knowledge
- Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Product specific certification in Access Control and Video platforms
