Job Summary
Security Engineering Technical Leader role overseeing MLPS assessments and Chinese regulatory inquiries with Cisco. Acts as primary technical liaison with Chinese regulators, explains infrastructure, data flows, and security controls to assessors; coordinates with global Compliance and Security to prepare evidence and responses; collaborates with Engineering to validate and implement required controls; tracks regulatory changes in China and assesses impact; contributes to audit readiness and ongoing compliance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 12 years of related experience, or Master's + 8 years of related experience, or PhD + 5 years of related experience
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, system architecture, and security controls
- Experience supporting security or compliance frameworks (e.g., MLPS, ISO 27001, SOC, PCI, or similar)
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
- Must be located in China and legally eligible to work there.
