Security Engineering Intern

Job Summary
Security Engineering Intern will actively build infrastructure, automate threat responses, and create analytical dashboards to monitor security posture. You’ll work on scripting and automation (Python/Bash/Go), develop and test custom detection rules across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), and design dashboards using ELK/Elasticsearch, Splunk, or Datadog to deliver real-time insights. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, threat detection, and visualization to translate security data into actionable dashboards, supporting risk visibility and incident response in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Availability: 40 hours per week
- Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Bash
- Ability to interact with APIs and parse JSON/YAML logs
- Familiarity with SIEM, infrastructure-as-code, network protocols, and MITRE ATT&CK
- Interest or experience in data visualization and building dashboards
- Self-starter with problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to engage in full-time internship and contribute to security engineering tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
- Active participation in CTFs or open-source projects
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
- Experience with data visualization and dashboards (ELK/Elasticsearch, Splunk, Datadog)
- Understanding of SIEM concepts and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
