Job Summary
Carry out planned servicing, preventative maintenance, and fault repairs on access control systems across live occupied social housing properties in London. Diagnose and rectify issues with door entry, intercoms, magnetic locks, and CCTV interfaces while adhering to manufacturer guidelines and health & safety regulations. Attend emergency call-outs to restore system functionality and test repairs to confirm full operation. Complete accurate job reports, service records, and compliance documentation. Communicate clearly with residents and housing officers while managing daily workload independently. Requires full UK driving licence and strong problem-solving skills within a growing Fire & Security division.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Security / Access Control Service Engineer
- Strong background in fault finding, servicing, and reactive maintenance
- Hands-on experience with access control systems (standalone & networked)
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and site working in occupied properties
- Ability to work independently and manage your own daily workload
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent Security Systems qualification
- Experience working within social housing or local authority contracts
