Security Engineer

Design advanced technical and cybersecurity capabilities across the software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing. Integrate and configure information security technologies in production environments while establishing baselines, guardrails, and control implementations to support regulatory compliance. Serve as a technical escalation point for challenging security issues, investigating root causes and developing reusable fixes that improve team workflows. Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to apply securebydesign practices, lead significant security engineering workstreams, and provide guidance through design and code reviews. Perform incident response and basic forensic activities, coordinating tasks with teammates and suggesting improvements to procedures and tooling. This role contributes to Truist's purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities through real care in financial services.
