Security Engineer

Security Engineer responsible for designing, building and improving security features across TeamViewer products and infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing and implementing security controls with secure-by-design principles, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities via threat modeling and testing (incl. offensive security), collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC, driving solutions to detect and prevent abuse, contributing to security automation and tooling, acting as a security consultant to guide risk-informed design, participating in applied AI security initiatives, and delivering secure coding trainings and guidance to development teams. Qualifications include degree in computer science or security (or equivalent experience), 3+ years in a similar security-focused role, strong understanding of AI security in software development, proficiency in C++ and familiarity with Java/C#/Go, solid web architectures and distributed systems knowledge, experience with encryption/cryptography/security/authentication, passion for secure, scalable solutions, mentoring experience, distributed-team collaboration, and English fluency (German a plus).
