Job Summary
Own security reviews and threat modeling for new and existing product surfaces while building core security processes like secure SDLC and detection & response. Harden cloud and application infrastructure to drive remediation of high-priority risks, and help define guardrails for AI agents to govern data exposure and prompt-injection abuse. Support enterprise customer trust through security questionnaires, compliance, and SOC 2 readiness, partnering closely with product and infra engineering to embed security into the shipping workflow. This foundational, high-ownership role shapes the security program from the ground up as the second security hire on a fast-growing AI-native platform.
Required Qualifications
- 4 - 5+ years of hands-on information security experience
- Experience at a startup or early-stage company
- comfort with ambiguity, autonomy, and high ownership
- Strong fundamentals in application and/or cloud security (AWS/GCP)
- Pragmatic judgment — able to prioritize risk and do more with less
- Clear communication and a collaborative, low-ego style
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience securing AI agents / LLM systems or governing AI agent use within an organization
- Enterprise compliance experience (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
