Job Summary
Entry-level Cyber Security professional to support RMF implementation and common control boundaries across the enterprise. Assist in developing and maintaining common control implementations and artifacts while engaging in the NIST RMF lifecycle (categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, continuous monitoring). Conduct in-depth research on cybersecurity policies, prepare and update security documentation, and collaborate with senior staff to ensure consistent application of cybersecurity requirements. Participate in internal assessments and gap analyses, and develop system security artifacts. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (any field), knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts, strong written communication, willingness to learn regulatory environments, and the ability to work on-site with limited teleworking options. Preferred familiarity with NIST SP 800-series guidance or RMF and governance/documentation activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Knowledge of basic cybersecurity protections, principles, or frameworks.
- Knowledge of basic computer and networking concepts, principles, and practices.
- Strong written communication and composition abilities.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn complex cybersecurity requirements and regulatory environments.
- Ability to work on-site with limited teleworking options.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Exposure to NIST SP 800-series guidance or the Risk Management Framework.
