Job Summary
Security Engineer 2 on the Cyber Threat Intelligence team leads the development of tooling to automate threat intelligence collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination. You will assess emerging vulnerabilities and threats, conduct threat hunting and infrastructure analysis to identify adversary activity, and partner with security teams to operationalize intelligence into detections, investigations, and response workflows. You will coordinate with information-sharing communities, produce technical briefings and threat intelligence products for security and engineering stakeholders, and contribute to intelligence-driven decisions that influence detection, response, and security strategy. Candidates should be proficient at writing and presenting operational and technical intelligence for threat detection and response, experience guiding detection opportunities based on adversary TTPs, familiarity with information-sharing communities and handling of TLP-designated intelligence, and experience tracking large-scale threats including supply chain compromises and nation-state actors. Nice-to-have items include experience presenting at security conferences and malware reverse engineering. The role is available in multiple departments at Datadog, with a reasonably estimated yearly salary of 140,000–195,000 USD; Datadog offers comprehensive benefits and a hybrid work arrangement. The position requires eligibility for US export control authorizations where applicable.
