Security Dispatcher

Public Safety Officer (Armed) duties include patrolling hospital buildings and grounds, visually inspecting for safety and fire hazards, de-escalating tense situations, screening entrants to ensure proper access, enforcing hospital regulations, conducting required safety checks under state and federal law, patrolling parking areas, and coordinating with the Deaconess Health Police Department to maintain a safe environment. The role supports patient safety, provides assistance with restraints when necessary, directs visitors, responds to fire emergency calls, and participates in staff meetings and training. Requires HS diploma or GED, computer proficiency, a valid Kentucky driver’s license, firearm-permitting eligibility, and completion of mandatory training; firearms proficiency requalification occurs semi-annually.
