Job Summary
Manage the organization's security function by developing security programs, policies, and processes that comply with government guidelines. Design and implement safety protocols for assigned facilities while overseeing security clearance administration. Lead investigations into crimes, coordinate with law enforcement for bomb threats or sabotage, and assess risks to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors. Provide direction on crime prevention and advise on specialized security needs for restricted access areas. Report regularly to senior leadership on security health, performance metrics, and mitigation strategies. Maintain an active US government SECRET level clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
- Broad background in security roles including FSO, OPSEC, COMSEC, physical security, education and awareness, personnel security, and insider threat
- Active US government issued SECRET level security clearance or the ability to obtain
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
- May need to stand for long periods of time
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
- This position is Safety-Sensitive
- Up to 25% travel likely
