Job Summary
Operate the Security Department within budget guidelines while managing relationships with local regulatory boards, political agencies, and government officials. Recognize, report, and solve trends contrary to company policies, and coordinate with internal and external agencies to ensure a secure environment. Hire, train, lead, develop, motivate, evaluate, coach, and discipline employees, and provide communication and reports to the General Manager and C.E.O. regarding security status on all properties. Actively participate in meetings as directed by the C.E.O. and represent the Company in key trade associations and task forces. This role requires a 21-year-old candidate with a Nevada Gaming Permit and three years of security experience to work a 24-hour, seven-day schedule with varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience in Security and/or Surveillance Operations Management
- Previous experience in government affairs/relations
- Must be able to make sound decisions under stressful situations and in short time frames
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate leadership
- Must be flexible and excel at problem solving
- Must efficiently and fairly delegate responsibilities
- Must be able to motivate others
- Must possess integrity and the basic desire to serve and protect
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of Nevada State Gaming control Board Regulations
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of Security Department Policies and Procedures
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of Mesquite Gaming Policies and Guidelines
- State of Nevada Gaming Permit
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Valid Driver License
- Must be available for 24 hour/7 day a week work environment
- Must be available for varying shifts including weekends and holidays
