Job Summary
Selling fire alarm and life-safety systems to contractors and end-users within an assigned territory, with a focus on new construction, renovations, and retrofits; achieve orders, bookings, and gross margin while meeting annual quota; develop and execute prospecting plans, qualify opportunities, deliver needs assessments, proposals, estimates, and presentations, maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, manage customer relationships through consultative selling, forecast activity, and coordinate with operations, finance, and legal teams; travel as needed and leverage NICET II-certified fire alarm expertise to engage contractors, developers, and consultants.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years meeting or exceeding quotas of selling fire alarm systems to contractors and end users
- In-depth understanding of fire alarm life safety systems, low voltage systems, installation, and testing
- Minimum of NICET level II-certified in fire alarm systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience selling technical solutions through the contracting tier
- Effective communication skills and ability to present before broad audiences
- Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit
- Able to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary
