Job Summary
Clean offices, classrooms, restrooms, and cafeteria on a daily basis to promote a healthy, safe, and clean environment for Head Start children and staff. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, secure the building at the end of each evening session, and ensure the safety of children and staff departing the center. Assist the Center Coordinator in notifying proper authorities regarding emergency situations. Collaborate with service area supervisors and coordinators to maintain program standards. Requires a valid Virginia Driver's License, reliable transportation, and a clean criminal record. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of custodial experience
- knowledge, skills and experience needed to perform the assigned functions responsibly
- ability to serve and effectively communicate to the extent feasible, staff, children and families within the community
- valid Virginia Driver's License
- reliable transportation
- acceptable Criminal Record Check
- Child Protective Services search
- TB tine test
- physical
