Job Summary
Conduct campus security patrols at CSHS to ensure total safety during school hours and after-school activities. Direct visitor check-ins, monitor student and faculty parking, and oversee student activities to eliminate loitering and report safety issues, vandalism, or inappropriate behavior to the assistant principal. Inspect locks, monitor restrooms and locker rooms, and assist with event setup, cleanup, and litter removal while maintaining appropriate supervisory relationships with students. Document all daily activities and incidents in a detailed report. Requires split shifts, long periods on feet, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Caring human relations skills
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Must be able to work split shifts and extra duty events as required
- Neat appearance and good physical condition
- Must be on feet for long periods of time
- Knowledge of drugs and alcohol and their detection and effects
- Ability to learn and maintain respect of student body
- Knowledge of school and District policy in reference to student conduct and discipline code
- Excellent self-judgment and observation skills
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to sit, talk and/or hear
- Ability to occasionally stand
- Ability to occasionally walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Frequent use of computer
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
