Job Summary
Track special events and visits while providing high-quality customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at SpaceX facilities. Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of access control, escort, and tour protocols. Coordinate with Security leadership and the Protective Operations Center to initiate incident notifications, assist emergency response personnel, and monitor surveillance systems. Prepare written incident reports, report maintenance and technology issues, and build collaborative relationships with facilities, human resources, and building owners. Oversee multiple projects without direct supervision while standing post, conducting escorts, and performing various directed tasks across different campus sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of experience working in a customer service or facility security position
- Availability to work any schedule needed, including, but not limited to: overtime, nights, weekends and rotating schedules
- Position is subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access, as needed
- Possess or obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Possess or be eligible for a valid state security officer license
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

- Ability to navigate complex support needs, and build solid relationships with internal stakeholders
- Strong customer service and relationship/team-building skills
- Active First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
- Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
- Impeccable character and integrity
- Prior military, law enforcement, or security-related experience
- Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
