Security Compliance Lead

Job Summary
Assess and authorize the security lifecycle by managing documentation updates, ISAs, POA&M reports, and responding to ad hoc requests. Lead vulnerability identification, risk analysis, tracking, and incident management while overseeing privileged and certificate processes. Support standard operating procedure documentation, weekly staff meetings, and ensure all compliance deliverables are accurate. Translate complex security topics to senior leadership and manage junior staff tasks within a geographically dispersed team. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 15 years of experience, CISSP or CISM certification, and a comprehensive background investigation. This hybrid role involves four days on-site in Annapolis Junction, Maryland or Colorado Springs, with four to five weeklong travel assignments annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 15 years of related security compliance experience
- CISSP or CISM certification
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Assessment & Authorization (A&A) lifecycle support (documentation updates, ISAs, POA&M management, monthly reports, and responding to ad hoc requests)
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Vulnerability Identification and Risk Analysis
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Vulnerability tracking
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Incident management / security event monitoring
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Privileged account management
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Certificate management processes
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Lead and support standard operating procedure documentation and updates
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Support weekly security team staff meetings
- hands-on real-world experience both doing and leading a team that does: Review and ensure security compliance deliverables are accurate and correct
- Skilled in MS office Suite
- works independently, proactively identifies, and completes task
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Security Clearance
- ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation required to obtain a Government suitability determination
- Work in Annapolis Junction, Maryland or Colorado Springs, Colorado
- hybrid role with 4 days of work on site each week
- Travel 4-5 times per year for weeklong assignments
- willing to sign a binding letter of commitment
- can start 2 to 3 weeks after notification of contract award
