Job Summary
Perform installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Network infrastructure, PA Systems, and Fire Alarm systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, completing 'As Built' drawings, maintaining product knowledge, consulting clients on security requirements, and participating in on-call schedules. Candidates must possess knowledge of equipment applications and relevant licenses, along with proficiency in microprocessor-based systems and MS operating systems. Preference is given to those with experience in IT standards, construction, and low voltage applications.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing
- Completion of Electronic Technician program or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license; must be able to pass driving background check
- Current State of Iowa Alarm Technician License or ability to achieve
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting the implementation of analog, hybrid and IP CCTV systems
- Experience working in the construction industry and construction management
- Understanding of technical system architecture
- Strong troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electronic test equipment
