Job Summary
Installs, tests, and programs commercial security systems onsite for clients, reads blueprints and schematic drawings, coordinates with police/fire departments as needed, may supervise installation teams on larger projects, and mentors less experienced installers. Requires strong electrical/electronic equipment experience, customer service skills, safe operation of hand/power tools and a fleet vehicle, and the ability to follow wiring diagrams and installation procedures to ensure safe, compliant system commissioning. The role involves preparing estimates per supervisor guidance, verifying installation schedules with customers, and maintaining clean installation sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Some technical school training is a plus
- 5+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
