Job Summary
Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details at an industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana. Develop curriculum, run training drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation. Fill in for the Site Manager or open Shift Security Captain positions, providing detailed vehicle inspection information and documenting pre-operational checks. Review traffic enforcement summaries, patrol activities, building inspections, active security systems, and safety concerns. Conduct audits of gate paperwork discrepancies and report on generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports. Requires a degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement Management, minimum two years of supervisor and industrial security experience, and ability to obtain a TWIC Card. Starting salary is $21.00 per hour with paid vacation, medical, dental, and 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field
- Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience
- Industrial Security experience
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility
- Must be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent experience/education
- Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience
- CPP certification (ASIS)
- OSHA-10
