Security Captain - Anchorage Tower - CP

Job Summary

Assign security personnel to posts and patrols while supervising daily operations and enforcing company and client policies. Interpret post orders, prepare work schedules, and review leave requests. Receive, resolve, and document incident reports; conduct investigations and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders. Provide transportation and emergency medical response, including CPR and AED use, during on-call rotations. Serve in Incident Command roles when necessary. Report unsafe conditions or sanitation concerns to management. This role requires standing or walking up to 12 hours per shift and includes pre-employment testing near Anchorage, AK. Candidates must obtain an Alaska Guard License and maintain a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  • Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License prior to employment
  • Must obtain and maintain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire
  • Working knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Ability to qualify for required credentials and certifications, including but not limited to TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor authorization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and contract-specific software
  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, which may include a hair follicle drug screening, physical examination, fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test
  • Applicants who do not reside near an approved testing facility are responsible for travel expenses to the nearest testing location
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with employees, clients, and customers
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to twelve (12) hours per shift during the assigned rotation
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English as required by the contract
  • Must comply with all company and client safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs
  • Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of at least two (2) years of post-secondary education
  • Candidates without post-secondary education must possess an additional two (2) years of directly related security, military, or law enforcement experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver position-specific security training and conduct general security training on a quarterly basis
