Job Summary
The Security Assistant Technician will install, maintain, and inspect electronic security equipment and key systems, including locks, access control devices, CCTV equipment, and fire safety systems. Key responsibilities include scheduling and assisting in inspections, emergency response support, and collaboration with security staff. The role requires familiarity with electronics, the ability to learn hardware/software systems, and maintenance experience. Candidates must possess a valid driver license and will need to obtain a Texas security license within 6 months.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronics and electronics testing equipment
- Ability to learn proprietary hardware and software configuration and maintenance aspects
- Ability to work in fast paced, high stress environment
- Attention to aesthetics and a penchant for creativity
- Ability to complete work orders in a timely manner
- Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must be able to obtain a valid Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau Non-Commission license within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a locksmith or alarm installer preferred
