Job Summary
Conduct access control and entry/exit inspections of equipment, furniture, and bags to prevent prohibited items in classified areas at SCIFs. Escort un-cleared personnel, guests, and other visitors at the discretion of security managers. Prepare, process, and review incoming/outgoing Visitor Certification Requests for accuracy and access eligibility. Monitor security zones, IDS systems, and alarm conditions, reporting interior and perimeter alarm conditions as outlined in SOPs. Document security-related activities, including journal results of access control point checks, IDS checks, alarm responses, and incidents, reporting them to military police and the SSO/SSR/Security Manager. Assist with security indoctrinations, read-ons, debriefs, briefings, clearance verification memos, and visitor access logs. Enforce SOP, Intelligence Community, and DoD Security Regulations by notifying staff of violations or dangerous practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be willing to work different shifts as needed at any of the required facilities on Fort Gordon
