Security Analyst (Tier 2)

Job Summary
Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other monitoring tools while investigating and responding to security incidents, escalating to Tier 3 or management when necessary. Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation tracking by reviewing logs from firewalls, endpoints, email security, and cloud platforms. Support endpoint protection, patching, and malware analysis efforts, then develop incident documentation, reports, and recommendations. Collaborate with IT, network, and compliance teams to enforce security policies and assist in security awareness training programs. This Tier 2 role serves as a second-level escalation point within CyberLinx Solutions' enterprise security operations.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of SIEM tools, firewalls, endpoint security, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, or cloud environments preferred
- 2 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or GCIA
- Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or vulnerability management
