Job Summary
Security Analyst (Remote) with MSP experience responsible for proactive security operations, SIEM tuning, and threat detection across client environments. Key duties include security engineering, continuous monitoring, and reporting on security posture; advanced Windows and Microsoft 365 log analysis; security hardening across endpoints, servers, cloud, and identity platforms; managing security awareness and phishing simulations; supporting compliance initiatives (CMMC, SOC) and participating in security governance. Requires extensive experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, MFA), networking, email and DNS security, and automation (PowerShell; Python a plus). Collaborative, customer-focused security leadership providing clear risk communications to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a drive to implement AI-assisted security and repeatable automation to improveOperate across MSP client environments and contribute to security standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Strong SIEM experience
- Endpoint security and EDR/XDR
- Identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, MFA)
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Threat detection and remediation
- Vulnerability management
- PowerShell scripting
- Python (plus)
- Familiarity with CSF 2.0
- CMMC 2.0
- SOC 1 and SOC 2
- Security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
