Job Summary
Senior Security Analyst role focused on advancing client security posture through proactive security engineering, continuous improvement of detection capabilities, and alignment of security tooling and standards using the NIST CSF 2.0 framework. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining proactive security capabilities across client environments, Security-as-a-Service operations, tuning detections and dashboards to reduce noise, performing Windows and Microsoft 365 log analysis, hardening endpoints/servers/cloud configurations, supporting security awareness training and phishing simulations, ensuring tooling deployments align with service models, evaluating new security solutions, and contributing to AI/automation initiatives. Excellent written communication and collaboration skills needed to clearly convey risk exposure, prioritized recommendations, and security outcomes within an MSP environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years experience with a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- CISSP (highly preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) (preferred)
- Microsoft 365 security-focused certification (preferred)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty (preferred) or equivalent AWS security credential
