Job Summary
The Security Analyst will support security protocols related to the organization's information infrastructure and network. Responsibilities include tracking down security vulnerabilities, developing solutions for identified issues, conducting analysis on the information sharing structure, and testing for security weaknesses. Candidates should possess experience in operating security tools, audit access levels, analyze system security controls, and manage documentation. Essential skills include experience in penetration testing, understanding of risk analysis, and familiarity with security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Information Security, or Associate Degree in Information Systems or Information Security
- 3 plus years of experience in information security or related field
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Healthcare IT preferred
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix, mobile)
- Proficiency in coding and scripting
- Familiarity with authoritative information security resources (the National Institute of Standards and Technology, HIPAA)
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
