Job Summary
The Hotel Security Agent is responsible for protecting hotel guests, employees, and property, providing a sense of safety through visibility and excellent customer service. Responsibilities include greeting guests and staff in a friendly, service-oriented manner; maintaining attendance per Avion Hospitality standards; ensuring proper uniform and ID; complying with standards and regulations to support safe hotel operations; answering phones, dispatching, and maintaining radio etiquette while coordinating with Front Desk; monitoring lobby and front door areas; maintaining daily activity logs; handling guest and associate incidents with confidentiality; conducting briefings with Guest Services; screening visitors and ensuring security of secured areas; understanding legal limitations of the position; assisting guests to their rooms and aiding with room access; investigating thefts, accidents, and assault complaints as needed and serving as first responder in partnership with hotel leadership; assisting outside agencies; providing escort services; coordinating with HR/MOD on associate altercations; assisting intoxicated guests; knowing hotel and guestroom locking systems; responding to alarms and monitoring CCTV; challenging suspicious persons; conducting rounds for safety hazards, lighting, and door locks; assisting during medical emergencies with First Aid/CPR/Heimlich maneuvers; completing Incident/Accident Reports clearly and concisely in partnership with Department Head/Hotel leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training (must comply with State requirements)
- CPR, First Aid, and Heimlich Maneuver Certified
- Class B security License (Reimbursable)
