Job Summary
Private Equity Fund Admin Associate at J.P. Morgan supports daily client deliverables for Private Equity fund administration clients, managing books and records, computing Net Asset Valuations (NAVs), preparing financial statements, assisting with capital events, and coordinating year-end processes. The role involves liaising with risk and control groups, audit, compliance, implementation, investor relations, and operations; ensuring adherence to the control framework; participating in ad hoc client projects; mentoring staff on technical topics; reviewing fund governing documents, side letters, and agreements to determine impact on reporting deliverables; and applying industry standards to mitigate operational risks while maintaining client satisfaction. Proficiency in US GAAP for Investment Funds, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or MBA, and an accounting qualification (CA/CPA) with 8+ years of relevant Private Equity fund experience are required. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Investran and Big 4 audit experience.
Required Qualifications
- A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA)
- 8+ years of experience working with Private Equity funds in a fund administration or related capacity
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA
- Knowledge of US GAAP for Investment Funds
- thorough understanding of Private Equity fund structures
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- Team player with excellent problem solving, communication, and client service skills as well as the ability to take ownership and manage projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite and advanced MS Excel skills
