Job Summary
Securities Research Associate collaborating with Wells Fargo's CIB Banking team on M&A, corporate finance and capital markets transactions. Develop sector research across Energy & Power, TMT, Healthcare, Industrials, Consumer & Retail; assist in preparing pitchbooks and industry/peer analyses; support equity and debt raises (IPOs, follow-ons, bonds) and underwriting; perform company/sector benchmarking and valuation analyses; leverage market databases (FactSet, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Dealogic, MergerMarket); mentor a junior analyst; interact with multiple stakeholders; and responsibly apply AI tools (e.g., Copilot) with emphasis on ethical considerations, data privacy, and compliance; maintain high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or master's in finance from a premier education institute
- 2 - 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong inclination towards building a career in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Capital Markets
- Good understanding of financial concepts and valuation techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – Power Point and Excel
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Results driven, accountable and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
