Securities Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Process and settle trade transactions for equities, fixed income, and derivatives while monitoring and resolving settlement failures. Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and clearing houses to ensure timely matching and confirmation, performing daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and transactions across internal systems and external custodians. Process corporate action events including dividends, interest payments, and stock splits, reconciling entitlements with custodians and fund accountants. Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to internal controls, and support internal and external audits by providing requested information. Generate regulatory and management reports as required while identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in Securities operations, trade settlements, or a related financial operations role
- Strong Knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlement cycles (T+1, T+2), and clearing processes
- Knowledge of Asset Servicing functions - corporate actions processing, Asset transfer processing, etc...
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with equity, fixed income, and/or derivatives operations preferred
- Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with local and international settlement systems and market practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of fintech solutions in post-trade processing
- Experience with AI Agents, automation/RPA initiatives in operations
